My game crashes when i enter the wooden bridge on my way to the quidditch training. Is there any way to fix this without ing other files from other websites? I’d rather not have 40282 viruses on my laptop 🙂 I ed the 3,3GB version, but I think all three versions have this problem. I hope someone has any solution for this problem..

I ed the preinstalled file, but when i extract and try to open the game, it says it can’t open because I’m missing a file called “XINPUT1_3.dll” . Has anyone had this problem/know what I can to fix it?

I’ve ed the 3.3GB Pre-installed version, and used the set-up code listed below. I ed the replacement .exe as Pikapiu suggested, but I am still unable to get the game to play – just an error saying that Harry Potter has stopped working. Help???
Encountered the same problem with the wooden bridge as many others did below.
Decided to go on the manual route, first I tried the solution described below, however this did not work for me personally.
I followed some of the instructions given by oldgames at https://oldgames.moviesx.org/wiki/install-games-on-windows/
And I also followed some tips from this youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJ_Y92ItZQo
For virtual drive I used WinCDEmu
After that, I was able to play without any problems at all.
ed the preinstalled version and everything was working great but now i’m having the same issue as some other people – game keeps crashing right as i get to the wooden bridge on the way to quidditch for the first time. i tried to find a different path in the game but seems like it just crashes any time a new area is entered after the gate lever fixing cutscene. tried running as , lowering graphics settings, running in compatibility mode, messing around with other things – nothing helps. also tried manually installing the full iso as instructed below but that didn’t work for me either. this is all using windows 11 btw. i also tried to install from websites other than this one but encountered too many viruses. i may be putting too much effort into a lost cause haha but this game has sentimental value for me and i’ve been wanting to revisit it for a while. any troubleshooting/alternate installation suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

you can also use the free VirtualBox software(Opens in a new window). All you have to do is set up a virtual machine, install the version of Windows on it that you need, and then you can run the game in that environment.
